As an independent photographer, my passion is capturing your most precious moments. Every click of the shutter, every carefully planned session, and every reserved time slot is dedicated to bringing your vision to life. To ensure I can deliver the best possible experience to all my clients, and to maintain the sustainability of my small business, it's essential to have clear guidelines around scheduling and cancellations.
Why Strict Scheduling Matters for Small Businesses
Many might not realize the intricate planning that goes into each photoshoot. When you book a session with us, you're not just reserving an hour or two of shooting time. You're securing:
My dedicated availability for that specific date and time.
Pre-session consultations and planning.
Travel time to and from your chosen location.
Post-session editing and processing.
The opportunity for another client to book that slot.
When a session is rescheduled or cancelled last-minute, it creates a significant impact. Not only does it leave a gap in the schedule that often cannot be refilled, but it also disrupts the careful balance of a small business.
Our Policy: Deposits, Rescheduling, and Cancellations
To ensure fairness to all our clients and to protect the operational flow of our studio, we maintain a firm policy regarding deposits, rescheduling, and cancellations:
Deposits are Non-Refundable and Non-Transferable: A deposit is required to secure your booking. This deposit guarantees your chosen date and time in our calendar.
Rescheduling: We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. However, due to the nature of our scheduling, any request to reschedule a confirmed session will result in the forfeiture of your original deposit. A new deposit will be required to book a new date.
Exceptions for Extenuating Circumstances: We are human, and we understand genuine emergencies. In cases of documented severe illness, family emergency, or unavoidable force majeure (e.g., extreme weather making travel impossible), we may, at our sole discretion, allow your deposit to be transferred to a new session within a specified timeframe (e.g., 3-6 months). This requires prompt communication and valid documentation.
Cancellations: If you choose to cancel your session outright, your deposit will be forfeited entirely. No refunds will be issued for cancellations.

We encourage all clients to carefully review their availability before booking and to communicate any potential issues as far in advance as possible.
